What We Do

Zambia Mission Fund oversees the work of Namwianga Mission, a 6000-acre center for education, evangelism and humanitarian aid in the Southern Province of Zambia. Namwianga is home to a secondary school, hospital, radio station, orphan care homes, two colleges, and a working farm. Zambia Mission Fund and Namwianga are affiliated with the Churches of Christ.

  • Annual Lectureship
    Annual Lectureship

    The 35th Annual Namwianga Lectureship brought thousands of Christians to the campus Jun 28 - July 2. Attendees enjoyed inspiring lessons and rich fellowship with other believers. The theme for this year's lectures was Living a Christian Life in a Sinful World. Breakout sessions focused on family, marriage, and youth.

  • George Benson Christian University College held its annual graduation ceremony in June. The event celebrated those who completed their studies in 2023. Guest of Honor and featured speaker was the head of the Kalomo District Education Board. Graduates were encouraged to make a difference as Christian teachers. The Christian Leadership Development program choir presented inspiring songs as part of the graduation program.

  • Zambia Medical Mission set up clinics in rural Zambia from July 6-12. They saw a total of 8625 patients, and there were 316 baptisms. 10 tons of mealie meal and 1/2 ton of beans were distributed, feeding around 9,000 people. See more statistics on the ZMM page.

Our Impact This Year

  • As drought ravages the surrounding area, Namwianga is mobilizing resources to provide food relief to the hardest-hit areas. 
  • In February 2024 the four-year degree program opened at George Benson University College.
  • The inaugural class of Namwianga Mission College of Nursing is now in the final year of the three-year diploma program.
  • Namwianga Christian Secondary School appointed Mr. Vincent Mwaanga as Head Teacher. Ms. Monicah Moono was appointed as Deputy Head and became the first female administrator for Namwianga schools. 
  • The Evangelism and Spiritual Growth team is sending workers to villages near and far to teach and preach. Marriage seminars and leadership training continue to impact individuals and churches in Southern Province and beyond.
  • Bible distribution is putting native-language Bibles into the hands and hearts of Zambians.
